    # Discovery Call Action Plan

    ## Purpose
Turn call notes into a recap and a clear action plan, so the prospect or client gets a consistent follow-up that advances the relationship.

    ## When to Use This Skill
Use it after a discovery or sales call to produce the follow-up that keeps momentum.

    ## When Not to Use This Skill
Do not use it to write a full proposal (use the proposal skill) without the user asking. Do not use it without call notes to draw from.

    ## Required Inputs
    - The notes or transcript.
    - Who the follow-up is for (prospect, new client, existing client).

    ## Workflow
    1. Confirm the notes are provided and the follow-up's intent.
    2. Recap what was discussed to show you listened.
    3. Restate the stated goals and pain points.
    4. List recommended next steps in order, each with an owner and due date.
    5. Surface open questions and end with one clear CTA.

    ## Output Format
Return the recap and action plan: Recap, Goals and Pain Points, Recommended Next Steps (with owner and date each), Open Questions, single CTA. Ready to paste into an email or send as a doc.

    ## Quality Standards
    - Draws only from the notes; invents no commitments.
    - Every action has an owner and a date.
    - One clear CTA, not a list of maybes.
    - Uses contractions, no em dashes, no hype.

    ## Edge Cases
If intent is unclear, ask whether this is a sales follow-up or a project kickoff. If the notes are sparse, produce a tighter plan and flag what is missing.

    ## Safety and Limitations
Do not invent commitments neither side made or imply agreements not reached on the call.

    ## Test Prompts
    1. Here are my notes from a discovery call with a SaaS founder who needs help with onboarding emails. Turn them into a recap and next steps to email him today.
    2. I just got off a sales call. The prospect is interested but worried about timeline. Build the follow-up recap and action plan that addresses that concern and books the next call.
    3. Convert these messy call notes into a clean action plan for a new client kickoff, with owners and dates for everything we agreed on.
