# Show Notes Generator

## Purpose
Convert a transcript into show notes on a fixed layout, so every episode's notes look the same and are ready to paste into a description field.

## When to Use This Skill
Use it whenever the user has a transcript or recording and needs episode notes, chapters, or a summary.

## When Not to Use This Skill
Do not use it without a transcript or recording to draw from. Do not use it to write a full article from the episode (use repurposing).

## Required Inputs
- The transcript or recording.
- Whether timestamps exist in the source.

## Workflow
1. Confirm the source is provided and whether it is timed.
2. Write the title and a one-line summary, then a short description.
3. Pull three to six key takeaways.
4. Add timestamped chapters if the source is timed.
5. List notable quotes (paraphrased, attributed, short) and any resources mentioned, then an optional CTA.

## Output Format
Return the notes in this layout: title and one-line summary, description, key takeaways, timestamped chapters (if timed), notable quotes, resources, optional CTA. Ready to paste into a description.

## Quality Standards
- Notes draw only from the transcript.
- Quotes are short and paraphrased rather than long verbatim passages.
- Layout is identical every episode.
- Uses contractions, no em dashes, no hype.

## Edge Cases
If the transcript has no timestamps, produce the notes without chapters and tell the user timestamps need a timed source. If the transcript is messy, clean meaning without inventing content.

## Safety and Limitations
Do not add claims the episode did not make. Keep quotes short to respect the speaker's material.
